The PRO version of the Blackbird family shines with a smooth Camber-Continous-Rocker wich gives the Ski easy manouverability in tight couloirs or treeruns and high stability on open face charging at high speeds. This combination of very agile and reactive riding character with a supple feel and effortless turn initiation is reached through the Shape-Rocker Combination wich is simple but precisely optimized towards Freeriding.
The unique Tripple-Wood Core provides a solid performance-to-weight ratio by combining the lightness of paulownia, the long fibre ash stringers and the hardness of native oak sidewalls, thus combining the best features of different woods. The advantage of Oak against ABS is the stiffness, wich grips into hardpack over its full length and provide massive grip on icy slopes. In terms of fibre, the use of different materials also improves handling characteristics, and that's why the PRO Edition uses a 50/50 blend of T750 glass fibre and T300 carbon, which makes the ski's flex more responsive, reduces weight and minimises vibration susceptibility. This makes the BlackbirdPRO a ski with the best riding characteristics at a low weight. Whether you are a freeride enthusiast or a pro rider, the BlackbirdPRO is a ski that will shine in the backcountry and draws clear trails on groomers.
the BlackbirdPRO is shaped with a self-developed parametric computer program. Computer-aided design collects all data like radius, weight, force flow,... and helps optimizing the shape and the chosen material and where it should be positioned to achive the best performing Ski.

the BlackbirdPRO Sandwich
The BlackbirdPRO combines the best of two worlds. From bottom to top: sintered base in one of 7 colors and steel edges that extend forward into the tip and tail. The edges are covered by VDS tape to reduce vibration. On top of this is a layer of T750 fiberglass and the Tripple-Wood Core. For weight reduction and more torsional stiffness, this is followed by a layer of T300 carbon, which makes the ski particularly interesting for ambitious athletes. In the area of the binding, the core is reinforced by a titanal plate. The construction is rounded off by one of the 7 SaRaiFo wood covers and a multi-layer protective coating.
